PLEASE CALL US TO GO!
Home
Welcome to the official Salween Thai Restaurant homepage. Thank you for choosing us as one of your food preferences as there are many other cuisines and choices in our community. Our goal is simply to provide you with the freshest ingredients and the best authentic taste of Thai food in town. We guarantee your satisfaction; our team has the passion to make you happy and satisfy your appetite. We will provide you with what you need, and we are willing to make any accommodation that is feasible for both of us. If you love spicy food, we can go as high as you want; our spice level is not a typical 1-5 scale, but 1-10 chili/spiciness. So make your choice, and we will make your visit worth it. We are here 6 days a week from Monday-Saturday. We welcome all visitors. See you soon!
Our Restaurant
Our first Salween Thai Restaurant and Grocery was founded by the late Yoshu Win family. We opened our door in 2012 (Radial Hwy). After three months of being opened, the world Herald newspaper reviewed our restaurant, and from then on we became well known very quickly throughout the great city of Omaha, Nebraska. The following year we were rated as the top three restaurants in the city. Our customers have fallen in love with our fresh, healthy and delicious Thai cuisine.
In November of 2014, the 2nd Salween Thai and Grocery opened (Ames Ave). With a bigger facility, and more parking spaces, we can also host private dinners in our private room for all occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and more. Just give us a call and we will be glad to accommodate you.
We are not Thai by decent, but we came here as refugees from Thailand, known as the Karen ethnics. Our goal is to bring a few popular and the most authentic Thai dishes to town. We can assure you that our dishes are not the typical Americanized Thai dishes, if you have been to Thailand, you will feel that you never left. We intend to let you experience the flavor of Thailand with the influence of Karen and South East Asia through our dishes! We hope you are up to the challenge, and go on an adventure with your taste buds on us. Thank you!
